Greta Van Susteren, host of Fox News' On the Record subsequent to 2002, is leaving the system.
The long-lasting host of the evening news show will be supplanted, beginning today, by senior political examiner Brit Hume, the system said.
"Yes, I have left the Fox News Channel. On Thursday night, I settled on my choice and educated Fox News of my choice that I was leaving Fox News Channel per my agreement," Van Susteren said Tuesday on her Facebook page. "Fox has not felt like home to me for a couple of years and I exploited the provision in my agreement which permits me to leave now."
The condition in her agreement "had a period confinement, which means I couldn't hold up," she proceeded. "I cherish my staff, I adore my partners, and I cherish the groups. That is the hardest piece of this choice as they are superb individuals. Furthermore, a large portion of all? I cherish the viewers - even the ones who have become frantic at me throughout the years and taken swipes."
Van Susteren included that "I want to proceed with my vocation in communicating."
Fox Network co-presidents Jack Abernethy and Bill Shine in a joint proclamation: "We are appreciative for Greta's numerous commitments throughout the years and wish her proceeded with achievement."
